W-2 & 1099 Deadlines

We’re getting lots of questions about W-2s and 1099s. Here are the deadlines for the forms-keep in mind they have to be postmarked (if being mailed) by these dates:

W2s

  • to Recipient 1/31/13 (has to be mailed/postmarked today!)
  • to SSA: Paper Forms 2/28/13
  • to SSA: Electronic 4/1/13

1099s

  • to Recipient 1/31/13 (has to be mailed/postmarked today!)
  • to IRS: Paper Forms 2/28/13
  • to IRS: Electronic 3/31/13
